Listen to Title Track of Steven Tyler’s Debut Solo Album, “We’re All Somebody from Somewhere,” Now

Dot RecordsOn Friday, Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler gave a debut performance of the title track to his forthcoming debut solo album, We’re All Somebody from Somewhere, during an appearance on NBC’s Today show, and now you can check out the studio version of the song.

The funky tune, which salutes a diverse variety of American music genres, can be heard now at RollingStone.com.

“We’re All Somebody from Somewhere” name-checks various of U.S. cities, including Biloxi, New York, New Orleans and Miami, while offering up a sonic gumbo that features banjos, drum loops, a New Orleans brass band and blues guitar riffs. Tyler co-wrote the song with Cadillac Three member Jaren Johnston.

As previously reported, Tyler’s country-flavored We’re All Somebody from Somewhere album was recorded in Nashville and is scheduled to be released on July 15. The title track was released as a digital single on Friday.

The 68-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer kicks off a North American solo trek dubbed the Out on a Limb tour this Saturday, July 2, in Las Vegas. The outing runs through a September 13 show in Toronto.
