Next year’s lineup also will feature another founding Allman Brothers Band member, drummer Jaimoe, who will perform with his current group, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band.

Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea III will set sail from Tampa, Florida, and will stop in Costa Maya, Mexico before returning to port. Other artists on the bill include Beth Hart, Anders Osborne and Eric Gales.

As has become tradition, the cruise also will feature a stage to showcase “Ignite Artists,” that is, blues and roots musicians specially selected for their innovative musical approach.

Money raised by the seagoing festival will benefit Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation, which supports music-education programs and scholarships for financially in-need students and teachers.
