Credit: Udo SpreitzenbarthWho better to honor American tradition on Memorial Day than America’s band? The Beach Boys are among the artists that will be performing at the 27th annual National Memorial Day Concert, which takes place tonight on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Joining the legendary California group at the event will be country star Trace Adkins, opera great Renee Fleming, current and final American Idol winner Trent Harmon and singer/actress Katherine McPhee, who is a one-time Idol runner-up.
The concert, which honors military members and their families, airs live on PBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and also will be shown on the American Forces Network. The special will be co-hosted for the 11th year by actors Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise.
