Poison‘s Bret Michaels is one of the many stars who will step up to the plate for the 26th annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game, which is scheduled for Tuesday, June 7, at Nashville’s First Tennessee Park. The fundraising event has been a staple of Nashville’s CMA Music Festival and Fan Fair country music extravaganza for years.
Vince Gill, Scotty McCreery, ABC Nashville star Charles Esten, RaeLynn and Jamie Lynn Spears are among the other celebrities who have signed on to take the field at the game, which typically is as much about hijinks as it is about softball.
Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster for the charity event. Proceeds help City of Hope work toward cures for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
