Wicked Cool Records/UMeA seven-LP vinyl box set and a two-disc Blu-ray collection featuring expanded versions of Soulfire Live!, the album capturing performances by E Street Band guitarist “Little Steven” Van Zandt and his side group The Disciples of Soul‘s 2017 tour, were released today.
Originally released in 2018 as a three-CD set, Soulfire Live! was recorded at various shows Van Zandt and the band played in the U.S. and Europe, and features renditions of a variety of originals and covers, as well as guest appearances by Bruce Springsteen, ex-Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and J. Geils Band singer Peter Wolf.
The vinyl box set includes a bonus disc titled From Macca to Mecca! that features a London performance of the Beatles classic “I Saw Her Standing There” boasting a surprise appearance by Paul McCartney, plus a full 12-song Fab Four tribute set that Little Steven and his group played at the famed Cavern Club in Liverpool, U.K.

The Blu-ray set features video of all of the performances included in the box set, as well as interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and a documentary about the Cavern Club performance that includes footage of Little Steven being honored with a brick in the venue’s Wall of Fame and clips of his band rehearsing for the gig.
“Playing in the same venue where The Beatles started their careers was a childhood dream of mine come true,” says Van Zandt of the Cavern Club show. “This was a band that set me on course for a life of music. It was an honor — no, make that an epiphany — to perform there.”
