John Mellencamp Extends Plain Spoken Tour

Rick Diamond/Getty ImagesJohn Mellencamp is extending his Plain Spoken tour into the fall with dates added in 13 additional cities.

The seventh and final leg of the tour will kick off October 11 at the Hanover Theater in Worcester, Massachusetts.  A performance at the Chicago Theatre on Tuesday, October 25 will be filmed for a future release.

ASCAP is set to honor the Indiana rocker  with the prestigious Founders Award at the Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards on April 27.  Mellencamp will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that same night.

The Plain Spoken tour kicked off in early in 2015, and played more than 100 sold-out shows. The tour is in support of his 22nd studio album, Plain Spoken.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. VIP tickets will be available at mellencamp.com and aeglive.com.
