Credit: Ross HalfinMetallica frontman James Hetfield will lend his signature growl to Skylanders Academy, a new animated show debuting on Netflix this fall.
Based on the popular Skylanders video game franchise, Skylanders Academy will follow a “ragtag group of heroes with unique elemental skills who travel the vast Skylands universe, protecting it from evil-doers.” The voice cast also includes Justin Long, Ashley Tisdale and Norm MacDonald.
In addition to voicing inhabitants on the Skylands universe, Hetfield recently recorded a song called “Beautiful Broken” with classic rockers Heart. And, of course, he’s on the new Metallica album, which is due out later this year.
