ABC/Randy HolmesGimme Danger, director Jim Jarmusch‘s new documentary about The Stooges, is being screened this year at the Cannes Film Festival, and Iggy Pop joined the director in the South of France a lively press conference, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“I saw [it] for the first time last night and it really hit me,” Iggy told the crowd about the film. “I was on acid in more than several of the clips in the movie… I would go from feeling very aggressive to breaking out in laughter.” Asked about his drug intake now, the 69-year-old singer said, “I don’t do it. I have wine with dinner, and that’s about it.”  He added, “Would you like me to come to the carpet with no shirt?” drawing cheers from the crowd.

2016 is shaping up to be a good year for Iggy as Post Pop Depression recently became his first album to top the Billboard charts.
