Credit: Carl DunnBad Company currently are touring the U.S. with ex-Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson filling in for founding member Mick Ralphs, but Ralphs will rejoin the band for a new U.K. trek that will take place in the fall. The Swan Song tour will visit eight cities in the band’s homeland, and will run from an October 15 show in Leeds through an October 29 concert in London.

“Returning to the U.K. with Bad Company where it all began 40 plus years ago is full circle for the band and the fans,” says frontman Paul Rodgers, who now lives in Canada. “It’s always a pleasure to play in the U.K.”

Adds Ralphs, “So looking forward to be playing in the UK for all our great fans — gonna be great!”

Bad Company’s British trek also got a tip of the hat from Led Zeppelin‘s Robert Plant, who said in a statement, “With mean riffs that took no prisoners, smoldering grooves and THE voice of all British voices, these guys brought home a special unique angle to the scene. I’m excited to see them make their way back on the road, town to town.”

Appearing as Bad Company’s special guest on the Swan Song Tour will be RSO, the new duo formed by ex-Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and his girlfriend, Australian guitar whiz Orianthi. Opening the shows will be either Rodgers’ son, Steve, or his daughter, Jasmine.

Bad Company’s U.S. tour, which is a joint outing with Joe Walsh, is plotted out through a July 3 concert in Whites Creek, Tennessee. The band also has a few stateside headlining gigs lined up in early September. Check out the group’s full upcoming itinerary at PaulRodgers.com.
