AC/DC has announced the rescheduled dates for their U.S. Rock or Bust tour, which the band had postponed after it was revealed that frontman Brian Johnson was at risk for “total hearing loss.” As with their European tour, Axl Rose will handle vocal duties on AC/DC’s U.S. trek.
The rescheduled U.S. run, which will be the final leg of AC/DC’s world Rock or Bust tour, will kick off August 27 in Greensboro, North Carolina and will wrap up September 20 in Philadelphia. If you purchased tickets for the original dates, those will be honored for the rescheduled shows. All other ticket info can be found at ACDC.com.
“This band has got a ton of energy and you’re going to see a fusion of all that terrific chemistry that we have felt ever since rehearsals in Lisbon,” says guitarist Angus Young in a statement, referring to AC/DC’s first rehearsals with Rose. “I want to get back out there onstage in the U.S. with these guys so our audience can see and feel it too.”
Axl/DC is currently touring Europe, after which Rose will join up with Guns N’ Roses for the reunited rockers’ Not in This Lifetime summer tour, which begins June 23 in Detroit.
