Credit: Kirk WestThe recently launched Allman Brothers Band spinoff group Les Brers has announced a new series of tour dates, kicking off with an August 11 appearance at the Allmans-curated Peach Music Festival in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The group’s itinerary also includes four shows in various New England states in early September.

Les Brers features founding Allman Brothers Band drummers Butch Trucks and Jaimoe, as well as longtime Allmans bassist Oteil Burbridge and percussionist Marc Quinones. The band also includes ex-Allman Brothers guitarist Jack Pierson, frequent ABB guest keyboardist Bruce Katz, journeyman guitarist Pat Bergeson and singer Lamar Williams Jr., whose late father played bass with the Allmans during the 1970s.

Les Brers’ sets are made up mostly of Allman Brothers Band songs, along with some select covers. The group previously has performed at the Wanee Festival in April, as well as at two benefit shows in Macon, Georgia in March, that raised funds for The Allman Brothers Band’s Big House Museum.

Speaking with Billboard in April about the new collective, Trucks said, “Nobody is playing music like this, like the Allman Brothers, and there’s still a lot of fans out there, so that’s what we’re doing with Les Brers. We’re taking this stuff and getting loose with it and improvising and really having a good time.”

Here are all of the current dates on Les Brers’ tour schedule:

8/11 — Scranton, PA, The Peach Music Festival
9/7 — Ridgefield, CT, Ridgefield Playhouse
9/8 — Hampton Beach, NH, Casino Ballroom
9/9 — Boston, MA, House of Blues
9/10 — Rutland, VT, Paramount Theatre
