PRNewsFoto/Legacy RecordingsVan Morrison‘s new archival audio and video collection It’s Too Late to Stop Now…Volumes II, III, IV & DVD gets its release today. The three-CD/one-DVD set features unreleased performances from the same three 1973 concerts that served as the basis for the lauded singer/songwriter’s acclaimed 1974 double-LP live album, It’s Too Late to Stop Now.
As previously reported, the new compilation’s three audio discs were recorded at shows Morrison played at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, at the California’s Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, and at The Rainbow Theatre in London. The DVD contains footage from a July 24, 1973 concert in London that originally aired on the BBC, but has never been available on home video until now. Morrison was accompanied at the shows by the 11-piece Caledonia Soul Orchestra, which featured two horn players and a string section.
It’s Too Late to Stop Now…Volumes II, III, IV & DVD includes renditions of such original Van classics as “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Moondance,” “Caravan” “Wild Night,” “Domino,” and “Into the Mystic,” as well as covers of Sam Cooke‘s “Bring It On Home to Me” and Hank Williams‘ “Hey, Good Lookin’.”

In addition, a remastered edition of the original It’s Too Late to Stop Now album is getting reissued today as a two-CD set, a two-LP package and in hi-res digital formats.
