Douglas Mason/Getty ImagesZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons will headline the upcoming sixth installment of the Skyville Live online concert series, which will take place Tuesday, May 24, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. The show also will include performances by Australian rock-guitar phenom Orianthi, up-and-coming country star Frankie Ballard, rock-soul singer ZZ Ward and veteran roots-rock singer/songwriter Mike Henderson.
The webcast will be streamed live exclusively on AOL.com and via the free mobile video platform go90. The concert takes place in front of a live studio audience in Nashville and will be shot in high-def.
“We’ve had some world-class-kick-a** guitar playing on previous shows…but every artist on here is a brilliant guitarist,” says Skyville Live producer Wally Wilson. “This one’s gonna take us to Six String Heaven with the Rev. Billy G. leading the way!”
Since Skyville Live premiered in January 2015, the series has featured an eclectic variety of music artists, including Gregg Allman, Sam Moore, Gladys Knight, Cyndi Lauper, Kris Kristofferson, Taj Mahal, Martina McBride and Jewel.
