Rocktober Campaign to Feature Cool Vinyl Reissues from Foreigner, Alice Cooper, ZZ Top & More

Courtesy of RhinoA series of cool limited-edition vinyl reissues from Foreigner, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, ZZ Top, Faces, T. Rex, Twisted Sister and other rockers will be released this October as part of a new campaign from the Rhino label dubbed Rocktober. The initiative will features various LPs, many colored vinyl, released on each Tuesday of the month.

The Rocktober campaign kicks off October 4 with the arrival of three discs, including a red-vinyl edition of Foreigner’s chart-topping 1981 album 4, a clear-vinyl version of Deep Purple’s 1972 classic Machine Head and Twisted Sister’s 1984 album Stay Hungry on black-and-pink-starburst vinyl.

October 11 will see the reissue of ZZ Top’s hit 1983 album Eliminator on red vinyl, and a 180-gram version of Iron Butterfly‘s 1968 debut Heavy.

The October 18 Rocktober reissues include Alice Cooper’s chart-topping 1973 album Billion Dollar Babies on green, yellow and orange marble vinyl, complete with its $1 billion bill insert; and an orange vinyl edition of Faces’ 1970 debut album, First Step, which actually was credited to the band’s predecessor group Small Faces; and a gold-and-brown vinyl version of The Stooges‘ eponymous 1969 debut.

Closing out the initiative on October 25, four discs will be released, including a remastered edition of T. Rex’s self-titled 1970 record, which will be available on CD as well as vinyl; and a two-LP, orange-and-gold vinyl version of the Black Sabbath spinoff group Heaven & Hell‘s 2009 record The Devil You Know.
