Some of Kurt Cobain‘s artwork may be exhibited thanks to Jeff Jampol, who manages the estates of The Ramones, The Doors, Janis Joplin and other deceased musicians. Jampol is currently working with the late Nirvana frontman’s family to create a touring exhibition of Cobain’s “works and his art and his possessions.”
“[Cobain’s] got some amazing canvases that a lot of the world has never seen or even heard of,” Jampol tells The New York Times. He adds that Cobain’s work is “going to be relevant for centuries.”
Though he was obviously known more for his music, Cobain also created many works of visual art, some of which was displayed in last year’s documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck.
