Newly remastered versions of the classic studio and live albums that The Allman Brothers Band released from 1969 through 1979 will be reissued on high-quality 180-gram vinyl on July 22. A total of nine albums will be rereleased, spanning from the group’s 1969 self-titled debut through 1979’s Enlightened Rogues, and also including an expanded three-LP edition of Live at Ludlow Garage: 1970, a shorter version of which originally was issued in 1990.
The vinyl reissues will include The Allman Brothers Band’s classic early-’70s albums At Fillmore East, Eat a Peach and Brothers and Sisters, all of which were certified platinum for sales of more than a million copies in the U.S. All of the albums were remastered from the original analog tapes. The reissue of 1969’s The Allman Brothers Band is a two-LP set that includes the original mix and the stereo mix featured on the 1973 compilation Beginnings.
In addition, a limited-edition vinyl box set gathering all nine albums together in a specially designed package resembling a peach crate will be sold. The 15-LP collection is available for pre-order now at UDiscoverMusic.com. The box set also will contain an amplifier-shaped USB drive featuring digital versions of the nine albums, as well as a variety of collectibles, including posters, magnets, guitar picks, a turntable mat, a trucker’s hat and a deck of playing cards. Only 500 box set will be sold, each one individually numbered.
High-resolution digital versions of the albums also will be released on July 22.
