Foo Fighters Plan A Second Season Of ‘Sonic Highways’ TV Series
(hennemusic) Foo Fighter frontman Dave Grohl revealed in a new video interview that he has plans to shoot a second season of the Sonic Highways TV series at some point in the future.
The original project saw the band film the background and sessions for their 2014 album of the same name, which was recorded in studios in 8 different US cities.
“There is gonna be another Sonic Highways season,” Grohl tells NME. “It might – or might not – be international. It might someday be international. It might only be England…or England and other places…or maybe its other places in America and people from other countries who are inspired by these places in America. The great idea about the concept is that it can be anywhere because every city has some sort of musical history.”
“Of all the places in the world,” Grohl continued, “England and the UK seems like it would be like shooting fish in a barrel because there’s so f***ing much here.”
The head Foo is not putting a timetable to the plan at this point, as the group have their hands full on a world tour in support of the 2014 album. “I’m sure it’ll happen someday,” adds Grohl. “I’m not sure when.
