Courtesy of Jeopardy Productions, Inc.Former Runaways bassist Jackie Fuchs, who was known as Jackie Fox while she was a member of the band, was defeated on Thursday’s episode of Jeopardy! after winning four straight shows. The former rock musician ended the contest in third place with no money, but amassed a total of $87,089 in earnings during her five-day run.

Fuchs revealed in a video interview with TMZ on Thursday that she actually suffered a health scare during the recording of the show that aired that day, and was almost was unable to finish the contest.

“For the last few months I’ve been having some unexplained stomach pain and I haven’t been able to eat that much,” she told the tabloid. “So, when we got to the show…after lunch…I just didn’t eat enough, ’cause I couldn’t. And I just ran out of steam.”

She continued that “right before the break for the interviews, I had this really serious hypoglycemic episode, which I thought was a stroke at the time that I had it. Like I couldn’t get my hands to work. My brain was seeing one thing and mouth was saying another.”

Fuchs added, “The audience groaned at one point because I said something so inane…But we took a long break and [the producers] were really, really nice and I made myself get up and finish the show, because it was not fair to my opponents, who were both really, really smart.”

The incident apparently was completely edited out of the show. The day’s winner was Andrew Kung, a San Francisco graduate student who says he’s a descendant of ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius. He finished with $21,000.
