Michael Collopy/Donovan Discs 2016Chris Cornell, John Mayall, Donovan, Rickie Lee Jones and Joe Bonnamassa are among the artists who will serve as judges for the 2016 International Songwriting Competition. They, along with other recording artists and industry executives, will help choose 71 winners across 23 categories representing different genres of music. Songwriters are judged on creativity, originality, lyrics, melody, arrangement and overall likeability.
The annual competition, which launched in 2002, is open to both amateur and professional songwriters. Winners will share more than $150,000 in cash and prizes.
