Credit: Aaron FarleyCheap Trick will say “hello there” to the ladies and gentlemen watching the Audience Network tonight when the band appears on a self-titled special at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show features the power-pop legends performing some of their best-known tunes and sitting down for an in-depth interview about their long career.

The event was taped recently at Red Studios in Los Angeles.

You can watch a trailer for the program, as well as clips of the band performing their classic songs “I Want You to Want Me” and “Surrender” at the Audience Network’s official YouTube channel. In the trailer, guitarist Rick Nielsen says about his band, “We’re just trying to make good music. We’re lucky we get to do what we do and we do it pretty well.”

The Audience Network can be viewed on DirecTV and AT&T U-verse TV.

It’s been quite a year for Cheap Trick, who released a new studio called Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello on April Fool’s Day, one week before they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The band will kick off a new series of headlining gigs on June 4 in Syracuse, New York, that will lead up to the July 14 launch of the lengthy Rock Hall Three for All Tour, which also features Heart and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. Check out Cheap Trick’s full itinerary at the group’s official website.
