Peter Blake/Bushbranch Records/ Surfdog Records; Columbia RecordsWhile contemporary pop stars Drake, Beyonce, Ariana Grande and Rihanna all currently have albums in the upper reaches of the Billboard 200, three famous veteran rock artists — Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty — also have landed in the top 10 of the chart this week.

Clapton’s new solo effort, I Still Do, debuts at #6 with a total of 46,000 equivalent album sales, 44,000 of which were traditional pure album sales. According to Billboard, the record is the guitar great’s 16th to make it into the top 10 of the tally.

Dylan’s latest album, Fallen Angels, bows at #7 with 42,000 equivalent album sales, almost all of came from pure album sales. This marks the famed singer/songwriter’s 22nd top-10 album on the Billboard 200, extending his record for the male artist with the most albums entering the top 10 since 1963. Fallen Angels is Dylan’s second consecutive album to showcase songs previously recorded by Frank Sinatra. Last year’s Shadows in the Night also reached #7 on the chart.

Closing out the current Billboard 200’s top 10 is the second album by Tom Petty’s revived pre-Heartbreakers group Mudcrutch, 2, which had 33,000 equivalent album sales, and 32,000 pure album sales. Mudcrutch, which also features Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell and keyboardist Benmont Tench, initially broke up in 1975, but reformed in 2007 and put out a self-titled debut the following year that sold 38,000 and peaked at #8 on the chart.

Singer/rapper Drake sits at #1 on the Billboard 200 for the fourth straight week with Views.
