Watch ‘The Dirt’ alongside Mötley Crüe this Friday

Mötley Crüe is inviting you to watch The Dirt alongside the band members themselves.

This Friday, the “Dr. Feelgood” rockers will provide running, live commentary of the film, along with the actors who played them. Check the band’s Twitter starting at 7 p.m. ET and follow along with the hashtag #StayHomeSweetHome.

The Dirt, which was based on the 2001 Crüe autobiography of the same name, premiered on Netflix in March 2019. It stars Douglas Booth as Nikki SixxGame of Thrones Iwan Rheon as Mick MarsDaniel Webber as Vince Neil, and Machine Gun Kelly as Tommy Lee.

Along with the film, Mötley Crüe released a soundtrack featuring three new songs, plus a cover of Madonna‘s “Like a Virgin.” In announcing their reunion tour for this summer, the band credited the popularity of The Dirt for convincing them to get back together.

Speaking of that tour, which also features Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts on the bill, the Crüe released a statement earlier this month saying that they’re “weighing all options” regarding how to proceed amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour is scheduled to kick off June 18 in Jacksonville, Florida, and an official announcement on its status is expected by June 1.
