Watch Metallica’s quarantined performance of “Blackened”

Metallica has released a quarantine performance video for “Blackened.”

The clip, streaming now on YouTube, finds each of the four Metallica members jamming along to an acoustic-driven, Western-y rendition of the …And Justice for All opener from their respective homes.

“Here’s a little something we cooked up over the last few days,” the metal legends write of the performance. “Hope you’re all safe and sound.”

In addition to revisiting older songs, Metallica may be looking toward newer stuff, as well. Last week, drummer Lars Ulrich said that there’s a “pretty good chance” that the band could record a new album if the quarantine lasts another six months or a year.

Meanwhile, Metallica has also been sharing full live videos from previous concerts as part of the group’s #MetallicaMondays series.
