Van Morrison Keeps Singing, Releases New Album Today

Caroline RecordsVan Morrison‘s latest studio album, Keep Me Singing, hit stores today. The 13-track collection features 12 original compositions, plus a cover of “Share Your Love with Me,” a song penned by Alfred Baggs and Don Robey that previously was recorded by Aretha Franklin, Kenny Rogers and Bobby “Blue” Bland.

The album’s lead single, “Too Late,” also was released today. You can check out an official video for the soulful tune, featuring Morrison performing with his backing band at Nell’s Jazz and Blues club in London, at Van’s VEVO YouTube channel.

Among the other songs on Keep Me Singing is “Every Time I See a River,” which Morrison co-wrote with acclaimed lyricist Don Black, who has contributed words to many famous movie theme songs.

In support of the new album, Morrison has lined up 11 U.S. concerts, six of which take place in October and five in January. Van also has a seven-show run of U.K. dates scheduled in November and December.
