Zack Whitford; Courtesy of Discovery ChannelMusic meets nature in a new Discovery Channel series called Hello World! that premieres July 9. Steven Tyler and Joan Jett are among the music stars lending their music and voices to the family-friendly six-part show.
Each episode of the family-friendly program will feature narration from an artist and showcase one of their songs. In Tyler’s episode, titled “Summer Wild,” his new solo country song “Red, White & You” will serve as the theme. The program will focus on how various North American animals, including prairie dogs, hawks and wild horses, spend the summer months.
Jett’s episode will be titled “Bad Reputation” and will feature the punk-rock veteran classic tune of the same name. The program will look at animals known for their ferocious behavior, such as sharks, wolves and alligators, and show how play important roles in their respective ecosystems.
Other musicians featured on the series include Dave Matthews, Christina Aguilera, Usher and Ellie Goulding.
