“We’re Still Here” — which the label says “celebrates the continuity of life and a sense of camaraderie with a new generation” — at first listen shares a little of the vibe from the Perry-fronted 1983 Journey arena ballad “Send Her My Love,” only much more mellow.  Perry’s trademark vocal gymnastics from back in the day may be absent but as previous tracks have proven, the 69-year-old is still in fine voice.

The video for “We’re Still Here,” also out now, is a straightforward affair, showing Perry and his band performing the song in a studio setting.

“We’re Still Here” follows the previous Traces track releases “No Erasin’” and “No More Cryin’.”

You can order Traces now on CD, digital download and 180-gram vinyl.  When you do, you’ll score instant downloads of all three single releases.

Traces, Perry’s first album since 1994’s For the Love of Strange Medicine, is due out October 5.  Here’s the track list:

“No Erasin’”
“We’re Still Here”
“Most of All”
“No More Cryin’”
“In the Rain”
“Sun Shines Gray”
“You Belong to Me”
“Easy to Love”
“I Need You”
“We Fly”
