The track is among three new recordings that will appear on the U.K. hard rockers’ upcoming hits compilation The Story So Far — The Best Of, which will be released this Friday, November 30.

The black-and-white clip features quick-cut footage of the band’s five members individually playing their instruments and/or singing along to the track, interspersed with close-up photos and video of various provocative images.

Among those images: an exploding light bulb, a dollar bill, a handgun, a bullet casing, Mount Rushmore, a Doors t-shirt, an arm tattoo, an American flag, an adult’s hand holding a child’s hand, a vintage car, a horse, a lingerie-clad woman, the White House, neon signs, a football, a buffalo and a full moon.

“‘Jesus’ is the sort of classic song that can be interpreted in many ways and as Def Leppard has always been the kind of band that can blend genres, it was an easy choice for us,” says guitarist Vivian Campbell. “It was that or ABBA!”

The Story So Far will be available as a 35-track two-CD set, a 17-track single CD, a two-LP vinyl collection and digitally.

This Saturday, December 1, in Dublin, the band kicks off a tour of Ireland and the U.K. with opening act Cheap Trick.

Meanwhile, Def Leppard continues to lead the voting in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s online poll to choose the most popular artist among those nominated for induction in 2019.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the band had received over 470,000 votes, nearly 100,000 more than the artist in second place: Stevie Nicks. The Class of 2019 inductees will be announced in December.
