Mary McCartney/MPL CommunicationsOn Saturday, Paul McCartney will be playing in front of tens of thousands of fans at the Desert Trip festival in Indio, California, but tonight he’ll be performing for just a few dozen at the intimate Pappy & Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace in nearby Pioneertown.

The show is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. PT, and tickets will be sold at the Pappy & Harriet’s box office on a first come, first served basis for just $50 at 6:30 p.m. Fans can start lining up for tickets at 3 p.m. PT, and each person will be able to purchase just one.

Pappy & Harriet’s is a restaurant and music club that opened in 1982 and is known for its barbecue and Tex-Mex food, as well as for hosting shows by a variety of music acts. The site of the venue, Pioneertown, was built in the 1940s to be used as the set for Western movies and TV shows.

As previously reported, McCartney will headline this Saturday’s edition of Desert Trip, hitting the stage at the Empire Polo Club after Neil Young and his current backing group, Promise of the Real. McCartney and Young also performed together at last Saturday’s Desert Trip show.
