Moving Picture: New Rush Documentary Arriving in Theaters and Home Video Next Month

Courtesy of Fathom EventsA new documentary titled Rush — Time Stand Still that focuses on the band’s 40th anniversary tour of 2015 will be screened in hundreds of North American theaters for one night only on Thursday, November 3, and will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on November 18. The film takes an intimate look at the Canadian prog-rock trio and its enthusiastic fans as the band rock its way through its the R40 trek, which is expected to be the group’s final major tour.

Time Stand Still is narrated by actor Paul Rudd, who starred as a rabid Rush fan in the 2009 comedy I Love You, Man. The movie features candid new interviews with Rush band mates Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart, as well as conversations with some passionate fans of the group who discuss their close affinity for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act and its music.

The Time Stand Still screenings also will offer exclusive extras, including a 20-minute discussion featuring KISSGene Simmons, Heart‘s Ann and Nancy Wilson, Red Hot Chili PeppersChad Smith, Foo FightersTaylor Hawkins and Thin Lizzy‘s Scott Gorham sharing their personal Rush experiences.

Tickets for the U.S. Time Stand Still screenings go on sale this Friday, October 7, at FathomEvents.com and at the box offices of participating theaters. The film will begin at 7:30 p.m. local time at all venues.
