Metallica has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of their “Hardwired” video. As it turns out, the frantic, black-and-white visual was filmed at a high school gym in San Rafael, California.
To film the video, Metallica and their team built a structure draped in black curtains in the middle of the gym. They then performed the track while cameramen circled around them to create the quick-cutting visual.
“Hardwired” is the lead single from Metallica’s forthcoming album Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, which will be released November 18.
