Credit: Jeremy SafferMegadeth has shared a remastered recording of the track “The Skull Beneath the Skin,” which will be included on the upcoming reissue of the thrash band’s 1985 debut album, Killing Is My Business…and Business is Good!. You can listen to the track now via Billboard.com.
Dubbed The Final Kill, the Killing Is My Business reissue includes the original album remastered, a host of live tracks and demos, and a new version of Megadeth’s controversial cover the 1966 Nancy Sinatra pop hit “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’.”
The 18-track collection will be released on June 8.
And speaking of reissues, frontman Dave Mustaine talked to Billboard about the shelved expanded reissue of Metallica‘s No Life ’til Leather demo, which was recorded during Mustaine’s brief tenure in the band. Last year, Mustaine tweeted that the project fell through due to a songwriting credit dispute between him and Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich.
“I don’t think that’s going to happen,” Mustaine tells Billboard of the No Life ’til Leather reissue. “We talked about it a little bit, and there are certain things about the way Lars wants things to go down, and it’s just not going to happen. They want to say things happened one way, and it didn’t happen that way. I can’t go along with that. I can’t fabricate stuff.”
