The show features Mellencamp and Rucker duetting on various songs by each other, including John’s “Pink Houses,” “Cherry Bomb” and his new single, “Grandview,” as well as the Hootie and the Blowfish’s “Hold My Hand” and Rucker’s solo hits “Wagon Wheel,” “Alright” and “If I Told You.”

The new episode of the long-running performance series was taped February 24 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. You can check out a preview of the program now at CMT.com.

Mellencamp is no stranger to country music, having previously appeared on a 2003 episode of CMT Crossroads with Kenny Chesney, and collaborated with Keith Urban on a performance of Urban’s “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” at the 2015 CMA Awards. He also tapped Martina McBride to duet with him on the studio version of “Grandview.”

As previously reported, “Grandview” will appear on John’s upcoming studio album, Sad Clowns & Hillbillies, a collaboration with country-folk singer Carlene Carter, which will be released on April 21.
