Guns N’ Roses, Springsteen, Metallica earn multiple 2017 “Billboard” Music Awards nominations

Katarina Benzova; Danny ClinchThe nominees for this year’s Billboard Music Awards have been revealed, and a handful of classic-rock artists are in the running for various honors, including Guns N’ Roses, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and Metallica.

Guns N’ Roses received nods in three categories — Top Duo/Group, Top Touring Artist and Top Rock Tour. Springsteen and the E Street Band also will compete for the Top Touring Artist and Top Rock Tour awards, while Metallica garnered nominations for the Top Rock Artist prize and Top Rock Album honor for Hardwired…to Self-Destruct.

A couple of other veteran rock acts also are vying for the Top Rock Album award: Red Hot Chili Peppers for The Getaway and Radiohead for A Moon Shaped Pool.

The artists who earned the most Billboard Music Award nominations this year were Drake and The Chainsmokers, who are both up for a whopping 22 awards. For the full list of nominees, visit Billboard.com.

The 2017 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 21, on ABC.
