StarVista LIVEIn the wake of the inaugural edition of the 1960s-themed Flower Power Cruise, which took place in late February and early March, comes word the initial lineup of a 2017 installment of the music extravaganza has been announced. Among the artists who will take part are Eric Burdon and The Animals, The Yardbirds and The Monkees‘ Micky Dolenz.
The seagoing music fest will set sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, February 27 and visit Falmouth, Jamaica, and Nassau in The Bahamas before returning to port on March 4. Other confirmed acts on board include Vanilla Fudge, Spencer Davis, The Lovin’ Spoonful, The Family Stone, Rare Earth, Three Dog Night, Chad & Jeremy and The Fifth Dimension, while more artists will be added to the lineup in the coming weeks.
This year’s cruise will feature more than 20 live performances, as well as a variety of special events and activities, including panel discussions, trivia contests, wine-tasting sessions, karaoke, game shows and themed events, including a “Make Love Not War” vow renewal ceremony for married couples.
