Courtesy of BurberryBritish brand Burberry is best known for its clothing and fragrances, but now the company is getting into the record business, thanks to a partnership with Elton John.

The pop-rock legend has teamed with Burberry for a limited-edition box set of six of his classic albums, all on vinyl. The remastered discs span Elton’s catalog from 1970 to 2001, and include one album that’s never been released on vinyl before. There are only 800 copies of the set, and the discs will come packaged in a specially designed Burberry box. Each set is individually numbered and embossed with Elton’s signature in gold.

The albums include John’s self-titled 1970 disc; his first live album, 11-17-70; 1971’s Madman Across the Water; 1975’s Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy; 1983’s Too Low for Zero; and 2001’s Songs from the West Coast, making its vinyl debut.

Explaining why he chose these six albums, Elton says in a statement, “I’m really thrilled to see these albums reintroduced in such stylish form. Choosing these six wasn’t easy, however, I think they are a very good representation of my catalog between 1970 and 2001…producing these albums was a real labor of love for everyone involved.”

The set, which costs $375, will be available exclusively in November at Burberry stores around the globe, and on Burberry.com.

Elton has a longstanding relationship with Burberry; he was part of their holiday ad campaign last year, for example. He says in a statement, “They make a lot of my clothes and I like them because they’re a very music-oriented company…they do a lot of things to help promote young acts.”
