In the middle of the show, Grohl invited a young blind fan to experience the show from the side of the stage. While playing the song “La Dee Da,” the musician brought his guitar over to the fan so that he could touch it and feel the musical vibrations. You can watch fan-shot footage of the interaction now on YouTube.

According to the child’s mom, who posted a comment on a Facebook post about the story, the kid’s name is Owen, and he also has autism and Crohn’s disease.

“Dave Grohl and all of the crew were incredibly kind to our family,” she wrote.

Foo Fighters are currently on a North American tour behind their new album, Concrete and Gold. The trek will wrap up Tuesday night in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
