Smashing Pumpkins gave their new single “Solara” its live debut Monday night on The Tonight Show.
For the performance, frontman Billy Corgan was flanked by original Pumpkins members James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, plus latter-day guitarist Jeff Schroeder and bassist Jack Bates. The same lineup will hit the road on the Shiny and Oh So Bright tour, which kicks off July 12 in Glendale, Arizona.
Additionally, the band performed the Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness single “Zero.”
“Solara” is the first new Pumpkins track to feature Corgan, Iha, and Chamberlin in 18 years.
