More2Screen/Eagle Rock FilmsThe story of Iggy Pop and Josh Homme‘s collaborative Post Pop Depression album will be told in the upcoming documentary American Valhalla. You can watch a clip from the film now on Billboard.com.

In the clip, Pop talks to chef and author Anthony Bourdain, who conducts the interviews in the film, about the “virtuosity” of his Post Pop Depression band.  Along with Homme, the band included Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Dean Fertita and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders.

“It was difficult to keep up without losing my mind,” Pop laughs.

American Valhalla explores the background and recording process of Post Pop Depression, as well as the band’s corresponding tour.

“During the recording process it felt important not to shove a camera in the face of what was going on,” Homme tells Billboard. “But post the recording, it just felt like, ‘Let’s capture this as much as possible,’ and without a real understanding as to why or what for.”

He adds, “It sort of became evident as we went along that we had enough to make something.”

American Valhalla will screen for one night only in U.S. theaters on July 11.
