Van Morrison Debuts Video for New Song, “Too Late”

Credit: Lawrence WatsonVan Morrison is sounding as soulful as ever in the official video for his new song “Too Late,” which debuted recently at his VEVO YouTube channel. The clip features Van the Man performing the tune with his backing band at Nell’s Jazz and Blues club in London.

The video was directed by Dick Carruthers, whose impressive resume includes Led Zeppelin‘s Celebration Day and its self-titled DVD, The Rolling StonesBridges to Babylon Tour ’97-’98 and The Who‘s Live at the Royal Albert Hall. Morrison plays saxophone as well as singing in the clip.

“Too Late” appears on Van’s upcoming 36th studio album, Keep Me Singing, which will be released on September 30.

Keep Me Singing features 12 original compositions, plus a cover of “Share Your Love with Me,” a song penned by Alfred Baggs and Don Robey that previously was recorded by Bobby “Blue” Bland, Aretha Franklin and Kenny Rogers. Closing out the album is an instrumental titled “Caledonian Swing,” which features Morrison playing piano and sax.
