Famed British Invasion band The Hollies have unveiled dates for their first full tour of the U.S. in 18 years. The summer trek, dubbed The Road Is Long Tour, kicks off on July 8 in Saratoga, California, and is mapped out through a July 28 show in Boston.

Fourteen concerts have been confirmed for the outing, including stops in such major cities as Los Angeles; Las Vegas; Phoenix; San Antonio; Austin, Texas; Chicago; and Washington, D.C.

The Hollies have long been led by two of the group’s founding members, lead guitarist Tony Hicks and drummer Bobby Elliott. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.

Tickets for the shows go on sale to the general public this Friday, March 6, at 10 a.m. local time. An artist pre-sale and VIP packages are available starting today, March 3. To check out the band’s full itinerary, visit TheHolliesOfficial.co.uk.

“We are very excited to bring our ‘The Road Is Long’ tour to the USA and play for all the fans who have waited so long to see us back in America,” says Elliott. “The show will include all of our greatest hits and we cannot wait to get back on the road Stateside.”

Adds Hicks, “We have very fond memories of our tours in the US and how much the country means to us as a band. We look forward to seeing you all very soon.”

Prior to the U.S. trek, The Hollies will take part in the 2020 Flower Power Cruise, starting on March 31, and also will play a series of concerts in the U.K. and on mainland Europe in April and May.

Original Hollies frontman Allan Clarke retired from performing in 1999, although he did release a new solo album titled Resurgence in 2019.
