The Steve Miller Band recently announced dates for a major North American summer trek with country artist Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives that includes two festival shows in early August that also feature Brian Wilson and veteran folk-blues singer Taj Mahal. Now it’s been revealed that those latter concerts are the dates for the 2020 edition of the Laid Back Festival, which was founded in 2015 by the late Gregg Allman.

The festival performances will take place Saturday, August 8, at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York, and Sunday, August 9, at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday, February 21, at 10 a.m. ET, while pre-sale tickets will be available via LiveNation.com starting Thursday, February 20, at 10 a.m. ET. For full details about purchasing tickets, visit LaidBackFestival.com.

Both concerts will feature the Steve Miller Band; Stuart and his group; Wilson and his backing band, which includes fellow Beach Boys alums Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin; comic musician Gary Mule Deer; and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, which will play an Allman Brothers Band tribute set dubbed “Eat a Bunch of Peaches.”

In addition to the performances, the Laid Back Festival will offer food and drinks from various regional restaurants, food trucks, breweries and wineries.

As previously reported, the Steve Miller Band’s 2020 Americana Tour kicks off June 13 in Austin, Texas, and is mapped out through a September 4 performance at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Washington.
