ABC RadioThe Sex Pistols don’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but one of the legendary punk band’s members, guitarist Steve Jones, has just been chosen to the receive honor. Interestingly, Jones is being recognized for his work as longtime Los Angeles radio DJ rather than for his musical achievements.
The veteran rocker is among a variety of celebrities set to be honored with stars as part of the Walk of Fame’s Class of 2018, which was announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Thursday. Recording artists who have been picked for the honor include Mary J. Blige, Harry Connick Jr., Ice T, Snoop Dogg, Carrie Underwood, Petula Clark, and “Weird Al” Yankovic.
No dates have been set yet for any of the ceremonies for the new honorees, but they must be scheduled within two years.
