Poison’s Bobby Dall says band’s tour with Def Leppard will be filled with “flash-bang-boom-pops!”

Courtesy of PoisonPoison‘s original members have reunited for a lengthy North American tour with Def Leppard and Tesla that kicked off Saturday in Manchester, New Hampshire. Poison bassist Bobby Dall tells ABC Radio that he’s expecting to have nothing but a good time on the trek, which is scheduled through a July 25 concert in Indianapolis.

“[I’m] looking forward to having a lot of fun, seeing all the fans, playing with all the bands,” the veteran rocker says. “We’re selling out everywhere, and it’s gonna be a lot of flash-bang-boom-pops, so to speak.”

Regarding how he feels about hitting the road with Poison’s tour mates, Dall declares, “Well, this’ll be our third time on tour with Def Leppard, and I have not one bad thing to say about any member of either band. They are [all] fantastic people.”

Bobby reveals that Poison’s set will be “a greatest-hits show…with a few twists.” One of those twists, he reports, is a bass solo he put together especially for the trek, the first one he’s done in more than 20 years.

In addition to the dates supporting Def Leppard, Poison has scheduled about nine headlining shows, the band’s first headlining gigs featuring its original lineup in almost 10 years.

Bobby says that at those concerts, “We’ll play the same show that we play with Def Leppard, and then we’ll play another two or three [songs to] stretch it out.”

Meanwhile, for Poison fans wondering about the health of drummer Rikki Rockett, who’s had been battling oral cancer, Dall tells ABC Radio, “[H]e appears to be in remission [and] everything is going very well for Rikki.”
