Credit: Ross HalfinThe day that never comes has finally arrived: Metallica has officially announced the details of their new album. The next studio effort from the metal legends will be a double-album called Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, and it will be released November 18. You can listen to the lead single “Hardwired” now on YouTube.
Hardwired…to Self-Destruct will consist of nearly 80 minutes of music over two discs. A deluxe edition of the album also will feature third disc consisting of the riffs that were the origins of each song.
Metallica will be headlining a show at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis this Saturday, August 20. The band will be announcing more tour dates in support of Hardwired…to Self-Destruct shortly.
