Members of Metallica, Foo Fighters and Iron Maiden apparently took part in star-studded jam session at a recent party.
Guitarist Howie Simon, who’s played in bands such as Alcatrazz and Talisman, posted an Instagram photo of the jam, which featured Metallica’s Rob Trujillo, Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins and Iron Maiden’s Adrian Smith, as well as Richie Kotzen of The Winery Dogs.
In the caption, Simon wrote, “Sometimes at parties I jam with the bass player from Metallica, the drummer from the Foo Fighters, the guitarist from Iron Maiden, and my friend Richie.”
It seems unlikely that Iron Footallica will continue beyond their one party set, given that all three bands will be busy on the road next year on their own tours.
However, both Foo Fighters and Metallica will be performing at the upcoming Chris Cornell tribute show, scheduled for January 16 in Los Angeles, so maybe Hawkins and Trujillo could reunite then.
