ABC/Randy HolmesHas Dave Grohl found yet another collaborator?

According to the NY Post‘s Page Six, the Foo Fighters frontman might have something in the works with actor Jeremy Renner.

The gossip site reports that Grohl and Renner, who stars as Hawkeye in the Avengers movies, were spotted together during the opening party for On the Record, a new record store-themed club in Las Vegas. A witness of the conversation tells Page Six that the duo was “talking about getting together and writing some music.”

Renner is a musician himself, and told Page Six in 2015 that he was working on an album.

By the way, a Grohl/Renner collaboration wouldn’t be the first Marvel/grunge crossover. Soundgarden recorded the song “Live to Rise” for the first Avengers movie in 2012.

Grohl and the rest of Foo Fighters spent 2018 touring in support of their new album, Concrete and Gold. The band’s next scheduled show is a performance at the Chris Cornell tribute concert, held January 16 in Los Angeles.
