Theo Wargo/FilmMagicFox News Channel’s Greg Gutfeld is clearly not a fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Gutfield went after the band during the panel show The Five Monday, while showing a video of Chili Peppers bassist Flea with Koko the Gorilla that went viral over the weekend, in which the musician was “teaching” the gorilla to play the instrument.

“As most musicians know, this is a vast improvement over the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the worst band on the planet,” he argued.

Fellow panelist Eric Bolling prodded him, saying, “The producers said you should do this story, and I said no, Gutfeld is going to say the ape is better than Flea.”

Gutfeld continued, “The ape is better than Anthony Kiedis. By the way, the ape is 45, which is half the age of Anthony Kiedis. Red Hot Chili Peppers, poor man’s Faith No More, don’t ever forget it.”

Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis was born November 1, 1962, and is 53 years old. Gutfeld was born September 12, 1964, making him 51.

Bolling didn’t share Gutfeld’s opinion, adding, “I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, big fan.”
