Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagicEvery new batch of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees seems to bring controversy about which members of a band should, or shouldn’t, be inducted, and this year’s drama comes courtesy of Pearl Jam.

While current members Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Matt Cameron, Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard — plus original drummer Dave Krusen — are all nominated for induction as members of Pearl Jam, former drummer David Abbruzzese is not. In a Facebook post, Abbruzzese comments on the snub.

“The members of Pearl jam have got to know what’s the right thing to do,” Abbruzzese says. “They can’t justify ignoring my contributions. Like me or not.”

Abbruzzese played drums on Pearl Jam’s 1993 sophomore album Vs. and its follow-up, Vitalogy. He was fired from the band in 1994.
