Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott taping episode of public TV interview show “Speakeasy” next week in NYC

Jordi Vidal/Redferns via Getty ImagesDef Leppard frontman Joe Elliott will be taking part in an upcoming episode of the public TV series Speakeasy that will be taped on May 18 at the famed New York City jazz club The Iridium. The veteran rocker will be interviewed by acclaimed Rolling Stone journalist David Fricke.

Tickets for the event are on sale now at TicketWeb. Doors for the show taping open at 1:30 p.m. ET, with filming set to begin at 2:30 p.m.

As previously reported, Sting and reggae star Shaggy also will be taping an episode of Speakeasy in New York City, on May 24 at The McKittrick Hotel’s Manderley Bar.

Both episodes will air as part of Speakeasy‘s fourth season, which will premiere in the fall. Each installment of the hour-long program features a well-known artist conversing about various topics with a personally chosen interviewer.
