RhinoThe Grateful Dead spinoff band Dead & Company has launched a digital concert album series that will see the release of full recordings of all 19 of the shows the group played during late 2017 and early 2018.
The first installment, which arrived today, January 10, features the three shows that Dead & Company played during its 2018 Playing in the Sand getaway event in Riviera Maya, Mexico, in February of last year. Going forward, two more concert albums will be released weekly each Friday through March 1.
The concerts are available at major digital music sellers and streaming services, while Dead.net net will offer the shows in Apple Lossless and FLAC formats.
The first installment of Dead & Company’s digital concert series arrives just a week before the start of the 2019 edition of the band’s Playing in the Sand vacation extravaganza.
As previously reported, the group will mount a late-spring, early-summer U.S. tour this year running from a May 31-June 1 engagement in Mountain View, California, through a July 5-6 stand in Boulder, Colorado.
